very bad service….and really bad experience…would never recommend
They scammed me and have very poor customer service
I was a bit cautious as there only seemed to be bad reviews for this company, but with a platinum card worth of guarantees to back me up - I sent them a couple of emails to ask simple questions which were responded to within minutes. I was happy with their answers and placed an order the next day. My phone arrived within 2 business days and was exactly as expected. I had a couple more queries about the charger they provided - but again their response was quick and helpful. I’ll be ordering from them again soon.
warranty not worth the name. wont fix anything
This section of reviews is negatively biased and there are many people in the Whirlpool forums who have had a good experience with them. Even that guy Daniel above got his phone sorted out in the end.
money back guarantee is very deceptive. sent the phone back but was hit with costs and false claims of misuse. they sent the wrong phone but i still had to pay return costs.not a pleasant transaction would not recommend
I would not recommend Smooth Mobiles to my worst enemy.
The Warranty is not worth the time it took to type Warranty.
My phone came with a well-known Nokia problem with the N97. I’d had the phone out of the box for about an hour and the keylock button fell off. We contacted Smooth Mobile to advise that the phone was (as we considered) DOA… it hadn’t left the house - we hadnt done anything to the phone.
The response was that we’d obviously broken it - so we’d have to pay to send it off for warranty work. We accepted the $10 it cost to send it away, they received it and “their professionals” confirmed that it was something we’d done to the phone - so they wouldn’t cover the warranty and we had to pay that.
We told them to keep their phone and got a refund - which was the cost of the phone (not shipping) - less the repair costs. It wasn’t risking having a phone that was not going to be covered by any type of warranty, am definitely glad that we didn’t pay for an extended warranty.
Will never deal with this firm again.
not to buy from this piece of shit store!!
