Yes - rates are cheap but watch the fineprint. We had the misfortune to have a claim under their luggage section. They invoked the clause “When calculating the amount payable we will apply depreciation due to age, wear and tear. The amount of such depreciation will be determined by us.”
They depreciated the claim by 85%. Took 2 months and several calls to Australia from NZ by us for them to settle the claim.
At least they sent a disputes pamphlet with the cheque. Guess they do this a lot…
Get peace of mind and pay a little more for a more reputable company.
I have the misfortune of trying to claim from this company. The customer serivce is abysmal - they dont answer emails, claim to have lost details, closed the claim by ‘mistake’. It has now been 4 months and still no resolution. No way will I waste my time and money with this mob again - even if by some miracle they get around to processing my claim!!!
